Last Sunday I visited the Queen's Gallery, at Holyrood in Edinburgh. If you enjoy art and you are in Edinburgh on a wet day this is where I recommend. The staff are helpful and very courteous. The building is beautifully designed, the collection superbly managed and the exhibition well presented. These are some of the freshest looking four hundred year old paintings I have ever seen. The excellent exhibition on Charles II and power was so good I went back with one of my sons.
